Innovative Engineering Specialists (IES) was founded by Dave in 2013, bringing over 40 years of expertise in custom vessel building and engineering back home to Blenheim. Dave's career took him across Western Australia on contracted engineering work before he returned to Marlborough to establish IES, drawing on decades of hard-won experience in some of the industry's most demanding environments.
Dave has specialised in customised marine components for a range of high-profile fishing contracts, alongside aluminium fabrication, heavy steel work, and a variety of architectural projects. That depth of experience now underpins everything IES does — from marine builds and repairs to residential, commercial, and agricultural fabrication.
Today, IES is a compact, highly knowledgeable team, built on the same grassroots approach Dave started out with. We're proud to go the extra distance on every project, no matter the size or complexity.
